Ultrasound provides close up, fine, soft tissue detail of organs and glands of the body. In addition, through the use of a feature called color flow doppler, our Logiq Book ultrasound unit is also capable of evaluating systemic blood flow in and out of organs, as well as to evaluate systemic circulation. While this is an invaluable diagnostic tool when trying to visualize important abdominal architecture, this is exceedingly helpful in visualization of the heart, its chambers and valves, as well as the integrity of blood flow through the heart. Finally, ultrasound also enables non-surgical biopsies of chest and abdominal lesions and masses, through ultrasound guided fine needle biopsy with only mild sedation.
